NEWSLETTER- August  2011

Welcome to Season 2011/2012................

In season 11/12 the Club will have a total of 21 teams.  Driffield FC will play in the Humber Premier Division One and we will have 2 Men’s teams in the Driffield League. We will also run an U20’s team, and we have had a lot of interest for this team, it will be a very strong and competitive league.

The girls U13 team will play in the City of York League.  We struggle with numbers with the girl’s team and by joining this league all matches are
7 a-side as opposed to 11, this will ensure the girls team keeps running which is excellent as the girls we have are all committed to the team.

Credit  to Richard Beston, Guy Deverson and Driffield Dynamos (U16) who have worked tirelessly to gain promotion into the top Myton League, well done to them.

Two players have now taken on coaching roles.  Alasdair Burniston and
 Matty Richardson will now coach the two U7 teams.

Match Checks

Last Season we had a number of Charter Standard Match checks which we passed with flying colours.  Managers and parents need to be aware that this will be happening again next season, and we all must be prepared and know what is required.  Parental behaviour will be monitored regularly.

The Club ‘Penalty Points’ are on the decrease and this trend must carry on this season.


Membership Fees for this season are £60 per junior Member.  The senior teams will pay £30 per season plus match fees. 
Fees are due by 1st September 2011.  Those wishing to pay in two installments, first payment is due by 1st September 2011, second installment due 30th December 2011.  Any members who do not pay by these dates will not be allowed to train or play in matches until fees are paid, so your co-operation on this would be appreciated. All Club Registration forms (which your manager will hand out to you) must also be handed in by 1st September 2011.



Annual Tournament
Thank you to all those who supported the tournament in June, we raised over £3000 for the Club.
Next Years Tournament is 9th and 10th June 2012. 

Our Agm was held on 13th June the minutes of which can be seen on our website.
