Financial Report

The accounts were circulated, and Elaine ran over details of the expenditure..

The accounts were proposed as a true record by D Pinder and seconded by
J Verrier.

Membership Fees

The committee had produced a spreadsheet of expenditure for season 11/12.  Fundraising is  fundamental to keeping the fees as low as possible. Our Tournament is our main fundraising income, but over the last couple of seasons the number of teams participating has declined.  Parents need to be made aware that we need their support on other fund raising activities if we are to keep fees to a minimum.
After careful consideration it was decided that membership fees for the juniors would be increased to £60, and £30 for the senior teams plus match fees.

All were in favour.

Review of the season

Pete Haynes read an account of each team’s season as provided by the team managers.

Next Season

In season 11/12 the Club will have a total of 21 teams.  Driffield FC will play in the Humber Premier Division One and we will have 2 Men’s teams in the Driffield League.
Richard Gladstone will run an U20’s team, and we have had a lot of interest for this team, it will be a very strong and competitive league.

The girls U13 team will play in the City of York League.  We struggle with numbers with the girl’s team and by joining this league all matches are 7 a-side as opposed to 11, this will ensure the girls team keeps running which is excellent as the girls we have are all committed to the team.

Credit was given to Richard Beston, Guy Deverson and Driffield Dynamos (U15) who have worked tirelessly to gain promotion into the top Myton League, well done to them.

Two players  have now taken on coaching roles.  Alasdair Burniston and
Matty Richardson will now coach the two U7 teams.

Last Season we had a number of Charter Standard Match checks which we passed with flying colours.  Managers and parents need to be aware that this will be happening again next season, and we all must be prepared and know what is required.  Parental behaviour will be monitored regularly.

The Club ‘Penalty Points’ are on the decrease and this trend must carry on next season.

Amendments to the Constitution

Ashley had received no amendments from parents.  The Committee wanted to amend point 7b, to remove the wording ‘See separate Structure’, this was proposed by Chris Hostick and seconded by Ian Pudsey.

Any Other Business

Chris Hostick and Steve Greenlaw raised the point if we were actually getting value for money from the Rugby Club.  The equipment up there was not as it should be and we did not have access to the toilets.  Jim assured them that both himself and Martin have this in hand and are  planning to meet up with Mitch at the club to discuss the matter.

Martin Burniston thanked all Managers, Members and Parents for all their hard work and support.  He thanked the committee for their commitment and hard work they give to the club.  He thanked Norman for all the work he does up at Allotment Lane, and Pat for her tireless work doing refreshments each weekend.

Club Person of the Year

This year the award was given to Chris Hostick.

Chris ran 2 teams for us in season 10/11.  He puts a lot of time and effort into the club, running the teams, and is always on hand to help in anyway.  He is a big asset to the club and we would like to thank him very much.
